TBS Discovery - Entry Bundle

The Entry Level Discovery Package:

This is our entry level TBS Discovery package which aims to keep costs low but still offer excellent reliability, flight times and overall flying experience. The TBS DISCOVERY QuadCopter is a durable and crash resistant Multi-Rotor optimized for dynamic First Person View (FPV) flight. By implementing the wiring into the frame, the aircraft outperforms similar quads in terms of FPV range, reliability and video link quality.

Unlike our medium and advanced packages which use a 3S or 4S 5000mAh LiPo batteries, the entry level Discovery uses a smaller, but still high quality, 3S 3300mAh LiPo battery, which gives flight times between 12 and 14 minutes. This package includes coloured coded 10x4 reinforced propellers which aid the pilot in terms of orientation. Our alternative Discovery packages offer ultra-precise, high strength 10x4 carbon fibre propellers as standard, which provide smoother flying characteristics and increases strength and durability.

This TBS DISCOVERY is supplied 100% pre-assembled using only the best quality components to give the ultimate Multi-Rotor experience. The camera platform situated at the front of the TBS DISCOVERY contains an FPV camera (optional), and is perfectly sized to fit a recording camera, such as a GoPro or similar camera, next to it. This platform perfectly places the FPV and recording cameras for "no prop in view" flight, giving the pilot the best possible flying experience and HD quality footage recorded from a GoPro or similar camera.

This package also includes the DJI Innovations NAZA-M GPS system, which features several "must have" features such as RTL (return to launch), GPS Hold, Attitude mode, Fail-Safe mode and Manual mode. This makes the DISCOVERY versatile and highly reliable.

This DISCOVERY package also includes the highly reputable DJI DT7 Transmitter/Receiver, which has been programmed for use with the NAZA flight controller and DISCOVERY Multi-Rotor. All you need to do is simply turn it on and enjoy!

All accessories required for FPV flight can be included as optional extras (see below for description). These include the FPV Sony 600TVL camera, Boscam Video Transmitter and Boscam Video Receiver. Other FPV related optional extras include the TBS Core which enables onscreen flight information, such as battery consumption. This system is capable of some serious range, in some cases up to 10km with suitable antennas.

To give you the ultimate power set-up we have equipped the Discovery with our latest Multi-Rotor Optimised ESCs, pre-flashed with SimonK firmware, coupled to the excellent and highly efficient ProFlight-UK motors, spinning 10x4.5 reinforced propellers. This provides lengthy flight times between 12 and 14 minutes using the supplied Turnigy 3300mAh 3s 11.1v LiPo, which can be charged and balanced using the Turnigy Accucel 6 Balance charger (optional extra, see below for details)
