WALK AWAY WITH YOUR OPERATION MANUAL

One of the most time consuming parts of gaining your approval to operate is the compilation of your Operations Manual. Our course includes a comprehensive workshop that will walk you through the manual and how it should be structured for the type of operations you will undertake. By the end of the three day course you will have had ample opportunity and guidance to walk away with a completed operations manual.

    PRACTICAL FLYING INCLUDED

    CAA Practical Flying Included

Our practical element of the course will demonstrate the skills you will need to operate safely and ultimately the ability you need be at to pass the flight assessment. Even better, as the largest retailer of drones in the UK, we supply the most recent drones for you to 'try before you buy' and see what the market has to offer! If you happen to have a bad day during the theory exam or flight assessment, there are no resit fees, which sets us apart from other CAA courses that usually incur a large fee! Once you have passed the practical element of the course our assessor will go through submitting your CAA application there and then so your PfCO is returned as soon as possible.

    TESTIMONIALS

Survey Roofing Ltd looked around at the various courses on offer and selected DPA because it offered the full package that we were looking for. We didn't just need the theory course but flying training too. Having all the drones available to test so that we could make an informed decison on which one was best suited to our needs was invaluable. We had a bespoke course that was tailored just for us and now we feel confident to complement our business with Drone surveys. We also have the reassurance of the follow-on support to fall back on if required.

Not only was I impressed with the professionalism of the theory course and practical flying training but I continue to be with the after course support offered. Having the ability to call the helpline for advice with anything from quotations, regualtion queries for complex tasks through to technical issues has been invaluable.

DGTL Media switched to the Drone Pilot Academy to train our new pilots and they have all had a fantastic experience. Not only are the instructors credible in the industry with their hands-on experience but the practical flying training has meant our pilots return from the course ready for operations.

    Conditions Apply

    • We will try our very best to make sure you can sit the flight exam during the course and this is usually the case, however due to weather conditions we cannot guarantee this and it may be needed to sit this at another date.

    • It is not guaranteed you will walk away from the course with your drone license, but you will have ample opportunity to walk away with all the paperwork needed to submit to the CAA which once approved will grant you your license.

    • Along with all of the paperwork for the CAA you will need a minimum of 2 hours drone flight time. This is achievable on our course weather permitting.

    • There is an application fee to the CAA of £247 which is not included in the price of the course. This will need to be paid when you submit all of your paperwork to the CAA.

    • The course does not require you to own a drone as we have equipment you can use. The paperwork for the CAA however requires you to submit a drone serial number which is registered to yourself. Ergo, you will need to own a drone to be able to submit the paperwork to the CAA.
