Apply for PDRA01 Operational Authorisation
With your GVC in hand, you’re eligible to apply for the PDRA01 Operational Authorisation from the CAA. This authorisation allows you to conduct commercial drone operations under specific conditions. Note: The application fee is £500, payable directly to the CAA.
Free Flight Test Insurance (with Coverdrone)
Your flight test is covered by complimentary insurance provided by Coverdrone, giving you peace of mind during your evaluation.
Please note, you MUST complete your Flight Assessment within 12 months of successfully completing your Theory Examination, otherwise, you will be charged for an additional Theory Examination prior to being able to undertake your practical test. This is a CAA Requirement.
When you have successfully completed your course, you will be awarded the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (your GVC), which is required to apply for an Operational Authorisation from the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
